West Fraser BC mills down to three-day work weeks

West Fraser’s B.C. sawmills have temporarily reduced their operating schedules to run three days a week.

The forestry company confirmed the changes last week to Black Press Media, citing inventory challenges from the “transportation crisis” in Western Canada.

The new schedules will affect around 740 employees, Black Press Media reports.
